When I (not nearly as often as I should) walk up to you to buy your magazine and ask how you

are and you always reply, “I’m good; I’m alive!” It makes me want to cry a little and hug you a lot. Which I won’t, because that might freak you out a little and also might make you want to retract your previous statement. Thank you for giving me a lot of perspective.

Thank you for unknowingly contributing to my overall health by being as sweet and funny as you are. Due to this, I am drinking the water at lightning speed, so that we will run out as fast as we possibly can and you'll have to come back. After at least three litres of water a day, I feel amazing!

Dear Girl at the Coffee Shop.


Asking me if I wanted a coffee while I was still standing in line waiting to be served, thus saving both my time and yours as you started on the coffee before I paid, was a brilliant move. For the first time in a long time, I was not late for work due to window shopping, talking to the Big Issue man, my own general dawdling, or waiting ten minutes for a coffee. I like you :)
